History[]
Earth-42's history was identical to that of Earth-95 and real life until World War II. Here, the Nazis won the Battle of Stalingrad, but at a horrible cost of men. This, coupled with continued resistance from the Russians, left the Third Reich's armies sufficiently weakened, and thus unable to mount a successful defense against the rest of the Allied Forces, ensuring that the Nazis still lose the war as a whole. As for Russia, they so badly weakened and battered in the aftermath of a prolonged Nazi occupation that the west begins the Cold War with a decisive advantage.
